Frequently Asked Questions
1. How to handle material?
Carefully cut the bag along the welded seem, leaving as much material to –reseal the bag. Take the spool out and place on a reel stand. Use the material at a rate of 10 ft./1 minute (never less than a rate of 10 ft./ every 2 minutes). When you are not using, put the reel back in the bag and re-seal the bag.
2. How do you re-seal the bag?
When you cut the bag open, cut along the welded seem, leaving as much material to re-seal the bag with a heat sealing gun or tape.
3. How many minutes until the spacer needs to be applied to the glass after removal from the sealed bag?
Apply the spacer at a rate of no less than 10 feet every two minutes. When not using, place the reel back in the bag and re-seal.
4. How long can the material on the spool be exposed to ambient (wet) air and still function as expected?
Never have it exposed to ambient air unless you are actively making units with that spooled spacer at a rate of at least 10 ft. / 2 minutes.
